There are many lists around the web on top musicians. When you set out to make such a list, you put yourself in a very embarrassing situation .
For the sake of valuable information, and a list worth following, heres the
Top 5 Male Rock Vocalists Of All Time.
This will surely establish my credibility as a music critic because as you see, I narrowed it down to 5. So here we go, counting down:

Numero 5: David Lee Roth ( Van Halen)
Rock group Van Halen was known for harboring Eddie Van Halen - one of the best guitarists of all time. But even though Eddie's guitar wailed the #1 rock solo(Eruption). It was Diamond Dave's wail that brought in the sold-out crowds.
His strong, bone shattering vocals hit you and make you shiver.
After Roth quit Van Halen and went solo, they produced extremely piss poor albums for the rest of their career, and to cap it all off they were a nightmare during live shows.
The void he left in Van Halen is testament enough to the wonder of Diamond Dave

Numero 4: Steven Tyler ( Aerosmith)
Dude looks like a lady but he sings like a god! Steven Tyler's voice has a certain magic to it that's unexplainable. He makes falsetto vocal notes into something of an art; an American Idol contestant whose name escapes me
( His last name was Gokey) failed horribly while trying to copy Tyler's sustained note near the end of Dream On. Once you are the only one capable of singing your songs in its full glory, then you deserve a top spot on a list like this.

Numero 3: Axl Rose (Guns N' Roses)
Back when 80's Rock bands tried to be the ultimate badasses, only one band proved it without even trying - Guns N' Roses. And the biggest badass in this band of badasses was Axl Rose.
Also the main songwriter of his band Axl's strict but wise management threw Guns N' Roses into the equivalent of 12 year success in only 5 short years. His singing voice is of a tenor range. Axl can sing parts ranging from bass to baritone, and to a high falsetto/soprano and has several recognized voices throughout most of his songs. Aside from this powerfull talent the man is one of the best frontment one of Rock's all-time greatest frontmen. How many frontment have you seen run laps around a stage and still have enough breath left in him to hold out notes without a sign of lost breath. He isn't the same singer he was before, but his yell from Welcome To The Jungle is loud enough to spill into a 21st century list.

Numero 2: Freddie Mercury (Queen)
When you talk about vocal range, breathing, vocal ability and power. Freddie Mercury is the man you were referring to. The power in this man's voice was enough to throw you off whatever mood you were in and make you want to join him in song.
Its a sad thing that such a good performer had to leave us so soon but Freddie Mercury has left a legacy unlike any other singer. Were talking about a man that was still blurting out classics even though he was in his deathbed. The man who wrote the best song in history( Bohemian Rhapsody) and sang it to perfection. Even though they continue as a collaboration beside Paul Rodgers, there is no Queen without Freddie.

The Best Male Rock Vocalist of all Time!: Robert Plant ( Led Zeppelin)

Stairway To Heaven, The Immigrant Song, Dazed and Confused. This is the man whose voice lies behind such Rock classics and the legendary band known as Led Zeppelin.
Plant's voice is soul in full definition, he has influenced the style of many of his contemporaries and later Rock vocalists who emulate his performing style extensively.
Freddie Mercury, Steven Tyler and Axl Rose state Plant as an influence in their style.
While onstage, Plant would improvise his songs, and could wear a girl's shirt with a coolness that influenced the way I walk to the way I stand.
He continued on a succedful solo career that would rival that of his own Led Zeppelin.
Even at 61 years of age, he beat the
Chris Martin fronted Coldplay for Grammy Of The Year at the 2009 Grammy Awards, making a statement that he alone is better than the #1 Pop/Rock band in the world. That and way more things than i can list make Robert Plant the boss.
